Nowadays, Dam Square is a tourist destination because there are several tourist attractions around it, the Royal Palace of Amsterdam (Koninklijk Paleis) ; New Church (Nieuwe Kerk) ; National Monument ; the famous wax works museum, Madame Tussaud ; and shopping mall.
Nieuwe Kerk is the important church because the Dutch King and Queen is inaugurated here and sometimes it used for exhibition of art or history.
